Juan Carlos has a vast professional career in the public service as well as in the business world. Mr Jobet held the position of Energy and Mining bi-minister during the second government of Sebastian Piñera. Between the years 2013 and 2014 he was selected as Minister of labor and social security, and before of that as a Deputy Minister of Housing and urban planning.
Before getting into the public service he developed his career working in investing banking, also has held executive and management charges including areas such as financial, property, forestry, infrastructure and waste management.
He recently was named Distinguished Visiting Fellow on the Global Energy Policy at University of California (UCLA).
Juan Carlos Jobet is Master in Business Administration, and Master in Public Administration at Harvard University and before he studied Business Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
