María Josefina Escobar

Doctora en Psicoterapia

María Josefina Escobar es Psicóloga de la Universidad Católica de Cuyo, Argentina. Es Magíster en Psicoterapia por la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), Magíster en Psicología Clínica Infantojuvenil por la Universidad de Chile, y Doctora en Psicoterapia por el programa conjunto de la PUC, la Universidad de Chile y la Universität Heidelberg, Alemania.

Actualmente se desempeña como académica de la Escuela de Psicología de la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez y es investigadora del Center for Social and Cognitive Neuroscience (CSCN) de la misma universidad. En este espacio, lidera el Laboratorio de Desarrollo Infantil (DiLab) del CSCN.

Es investigadora principal del proyecto Fondecyt: “La influencia del burnout parental en la cognición social y competencias parentales para predecir funciones ejecutivas en preescolares”. Forma parte del International Investigation of Parental Burnout (IIPB), liderado por la Universidad Católica de Lovaina, habiéndose certificado en el diagnóstico e intervención de burnout parental por el mismo equipo de la Universidad Católica de Lovaina (Bélgica).

Sus líneas de investigación se orientan a temáticas de apego, parentalidad, experiencias tempranas adversas y neurodesarrollo.

María Josefina Escobar es también investigadora asociada del GobLab UAI desde 2018.
