Abstract

Santiago Mingo is an Associate Professor at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez’s School of Business in Santiago de Chile. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Harvard University. Santiago’s research explores how the institutional and business environment affects corporate strategy, global strategy, and entrepreneurial activity. Most of his work focuses on emerging markets. Santiago has published in top academic journals such as Management Science, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, and Industrial and Corporate Change, and has presented his research at numerous conferences and universities around the world. He is affiliated with the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS)’s Center for Emerging Market Studies. At Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, he teaches business strategy, global strategy, and international business.

Santiago Mingo tiene un Doctorado en Administración de Empresas de la Universidad de Harvard. Actualmente es Profesor Asociado de la Escuela de Negocios de la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez en Santiago de Chile. Sus investigaciones examinan cómo el ambiente institucional y de negocios afecta la estrategia corporativa, la estrategia global, y la actividad emprendedora. Gran parte de su trabajo se enfoca en economías emergentes. Su trabajo ha sido publicado en revistas académicas de primer nivel tales como Management Science, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, e Industrial and Corporate Change, y ha presentados sus investigaciones en conferencias y universidades a lo largo del mundo. Adicionalmente, está afiliado al China Europe International Business School (CEIBS)’s Center for Emerging Market Studies. Santiago ha sido investigador responsable de múltiples proyectos de investigación financiados por el Gobierno de Chile, incluyendo un Núcleo Milenio en Ciencias Sociales (2015-2017). En la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, él enseña cursos de estrategia de negocios, estrategia global, y negocios internacionales.
