The organizations ESA (Campus Peñalolen) and EST (Campus Viña del Mar) are a group of students motivated by being part of the exchange experience. These groups guides and welcomes new classmates, helps them move around the city and encourages them to interact with Chileans. They speak English and other languages very well, accompany, integrate and guide all students who become part of the student community.
In order for a UAI student to participate in the “buddies” group, a selection process must take place in which their different aptitudes are measured. Enthusiasm, optimism and the ability to work as a team are very important to become a good buddy that can help both Chileans and foreigners. Each volunteer is assigned a small group of foreign students, in order to favor more direct communication, notwithstanding that in the activities, everyone is invited to participate.
The buddies participate in a committed way in the activities organized for the students, which can be sports, entertainment, orientation, social assistance, among others.
