Biografía
Former Director of the Center for Public Studies from March 2014 to December 2017. Deputy Director from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2013, he served as Chilean Minister of Education.
He has published extensively in academic journals in Chile and abroad. He also collaborates with the El Mercurio Redaction Board and is board member of the Choshuenco Educational Foundation.
He obtained his undergraduate degree at the Universidad de Chile, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Economic Science and Business Engineering. He completed graduate studies at University of California, Los Angeles, USA, obtaining a Master of Arts and Doctorate (Economics).
